The date for the 2023 communicode Apprentice Speed Dating event, to be held on-site at communicode AG’s new offices, has been set. On April 20, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., the employees of communicode AG are once again looking forward to welcoming candidates eager to learn for a quick round of introductions. At the same time, communicode AG will welcome these potential future employees as the very first guests to its new offices at the new location at Wittekindstr. 1a in 45131 Essen/Rüttenscheid.
A total of seven applicants will have the chance to become part of the communicode team – six in the field of IT specialist for application development, and one apprenticeship position is available in the field of system integration. Guests will get to know the work environment and the employees of communicode AG through two speed-dating sessions. These will take place in the morning and afternoon, respectively, until approximately 5:00 p.m. Refreshments and drinks will be provided in between, and based on past events, a fun time is always guaranteed. This is especially true since this year’s Trainee Speed Dating event – following pandemic-related virtual events and communicode AG’s subsequent move to a new office building – will take place in person for the first time in a while.
All trainee candidates are given 15 minutes each for personal interviews at several tables, which they visit in sequence. This allows them to get to know several future colleagues and introduce themselves, highlighting their qualities and motivation. The training program begins on August 1, 2023. Throughout the program, communicode provides comprehensive support and hands-on training for aspiring software developers. Trainees work on their own projects as early as their first year and learn to program in Java as well as design front-ends. By the end of the first year, trainees are able to independently create their own applications from scratch. In doing so, they already have access to a comprehensive toolset to apply “best practices.”
In the second and third years, the projects become larger and are developed using agile methods based on SCRUM. Training takes place both in the office and remotely, with support from experienced colleagues. The goal is to hire all trainees as permanent employees upon completion of their training. As full-stack developers, graduates will master all the technologies, tools, and techniques needed to translate customer requirements into maintainable and future-proof software.
