Relaunch: communicode adapts WAGO website to international requirements

New design, new online catalog and new Content Management System: communicode realizes the complete relaunch at WAGO Kontakttechnik GmbH from Minden.

In order to meet the changing internal and external requirements, WAGO decided to optimize its internet presence. In close coordination with communicode, the company with more than 5,000 employees worldwide decided to adapt its website to its international orientation. In doing so, communicode placed particular emphasis on the needs of the users. The basis of the relaunch is the implemented Content Management System FirstSpirit by e-Spirit AG. This guarantees a high system performance and is characterized by user friendliness and multiple use of contents. "An essential system requirement was to make the worldwide content maintenance more efficient", explains Axel Helbig, managing partner of communicode. "The 36 language and country variants available in the course of the international roll-out will above all facilitate the integration of international editors."

New First-Spirit CMS and online catalog

In addition to the new Content Management System, communicode implemented a new online catalog. Based on the Product Information Management System asim, which is already in use at WAGO, adjacent systems and databases were integrated. communicode also integrated features such as document search with the Enterprise Search of Exalead or a download assistant. In this way, different document types can be searched for in categories, branches, product groups or applications and downloaded as PDF or e-book.

Furthermore, communicode fundamentally renewed the design of the WAGO website and created a new navigation structure.
